Here’s another Spotlight On from our newest retailer Case & Case. We’ve been speaking to store manager Paula to find out more about the company.
Describe your business: A luxury Fine Jewellery boutique in the centre of Wigan, we are a member of the Company of master Jewellers and authorised stockists of some of the most prestigious brands Including Raymond Weil, Baume and Mercier, Seiko, Tissot, Boss, Fiorelli, Diamonfire, and Many more.
Aside from selling luxury brands we have our own in house workshop with renowned Goldsmith Dave Johnson. Offering alterations to your precious jewellery or creating a new and unique one of a kind with our bespoke jewellery design service.
Tell us about the history of the company: Case and Case has been established in 2022, independently owned by Multi award winning jeweller Matt and Charvelle Case. After their successful launch of their Joshuas Brand of jewellers, they wanted to create a more unique boutique experience for their customers.
How many staff members of staff do you employ? 5 team members at Case and Case, four from the previous Jewellers that was here retaining our local Jobs. With expert knowledge, passion and priding themselves on giving excellent customer service, the team have collectively over 50 years of experience in the jewellery industry. One of the team members opened the unit originally, when the Grand Arcade opened 16 years ago.
What’s the best thing about working for your company? The family environment that Matt and Charvelle have created, they are both present in the day to day running of the business, they are both approachable and listen to the needs of the team and the business.
Matt and Charvelle have created a great working environment with lots of benefits for the teams, encouraging a work life balance, great incentives and a career path to grow with the company. There are many training and development opportunities within the company, and they want you to enjoy being in work, to have fun and strive to be the best.
Who are your customers and why do they shop with you? We have a vast mix of customers, from a student buying their first watch, to a grandparents buying their grandchild a gift for their Christening, we are part of their journey from Births, 21st Birthdays, to weddings and beyond.
We create memories with our customers and they return time and time again not just to shop but because they feel comfortable and part of the Case and Case family they come in just to catch up with us.
What is your best seller? Our Diamond collection, from classic timeless pieces to unusual and unique intricate designs, there is a Diamond for everyone, we have a collection to match any occasion and we have an in-store ring design service that creates your perfect ring. There is no other experience like it, choosing every part of your ring from the setting, the size of the diamonds to the amount of diamonds or gemstones it holds, you will wear the ring forever, and you will have chosen exactly what you desired.
How long have you been a retailer in Grand Arcade? We opened in the Grand Arcade recently – May 2022
What’s the best thing about being a retailer in Grand Arcade? The regular customers we have visiting us, and being part of a wider community within the Grand Arcade, the retailers and management team are very supportive and are always looking at ways to promote and get the retailers and community involved.
Why should people shop local? When you shop local you are investing in your local community and supporting local independent smaller businesses. They will offer a friendly more tailored experience and welcome you into their family.
